Now there is an optimist for you.. I'm calling for this to happen!! Stay tuned..
a) Beat Bermuda ..and by a margin that gives us like a 4+ NRR increment resulting in our NRR after two games being at close to 4. Given SL did that don't see a reason why we can't. Ideally the higher the better [perhaps even at 4.5+]
b) If Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka..you can throw the runrates out the window..if we beat SL..we are in. If that doesn't happen, then we are looking for SL to kill Bangladesh to further depress their NRR. Ideally needing them to go into the Bermuda game having to establish a NRR of 5+ to get in.
c) and ofcourse we need to beat SL..and the more convincingly the better. Again the goal should be to have Bangladesh chasing at least 5+ NRR differential going into their game against Bermuda.
As absurd as all of the above might sound..actually i think we are more than capable of pulling it off [beating SL maybe the hardest part of the equation!!]. Will keep this running as the week moves along.

Yes Hari, this is the real challenge ahead for our team. Srilanka appears more stronger then we played them last time.They definitely have a better bowling attack then ours with Malinga added to miserly and irritating Vass-Murali combo. The only way I believe we could beat them is with bat and if not all, atleast three of our major guns should fire in a big way. I hope our team will rise to the occassion to prove the potential everyone keeps talking of at this crucial time and won't disappoint millions of fans in india and abroad.

Thanks! SL does seem like an impressive bunch. Not just do they bowl well, but they can be devastating w the bat and the best fielding unit in the subcontinent by far. To be honest, so far Australia, SA and SL have looked a class apart with the rest of the teams in a ho hum state (though New Zealand of all teams has been looking good). As mentioned in my recent post, hopefully we play up to our capabilities on Friday and can join the elite class :-)
